I love my Temple bike. We go everywhere together❤️.
It was purchased via the cycle2work scheme to commute to work, but I use it for shopping and trips to the allotment too. I love how smooth and quiet she is, I feel like I am as light as the air and I look forward to every journey often going the long way so we can spend more time together. As I am a petite rider (146cm, 4ft10) and its difficult to find a suitable frame size that is suitable for and adult and although the small (45cm) is for a slightly taller rider it's a perfect fit for my ride position.
I am looking forward to lots of adventures and growing old together 😍
Absolutely beautiful bike, I knew I wanted one before I’d even seen one in real life AND I bought her before I’d even ridden her! Not only is the ride sweet and stylish but the customer service from the team is out of this world, incredibly friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Everyone needs a Temple to worship at!
I recently got my bike from Temple and I’m really happy with it overall. They customised it for me with extra gearing, drop-down handlebars and top-mounted brake levers, which has made a big difference to both comfort and control.
The bike feels solid, well-built and rides really smoothly. It’s comfortable on longer rides but still responsive, which has been great as I get more into road cycling.
The design is beautiful in person—simple, clean and really well finished.
The collection process was straightforward and the team were friendly and helpful. There was a small thing missing at collection, but I’m sure that can be sorted easily.
Overall, it’s been a really enjoyable and confidence-boosting bike to ride, and I’d happily recommend Temple to others.
I bought this for my teenage daughter as her first grown-up bike. It’s beautiful and rides like a charm. She loves it - and so do I - it’s the most joyful bike I’ve ever ridden. 10/10 Temple.
There were a few bumps in getting me the perfect bike. You can really rate a company by how they deal with problems that arise, and these guys were amazing and went above on beyond.
This is a small step through but with smaller handlebars and comfort pads.
I’ve been struggling to get back to cycling due to a back injury and il really back riding a bike in comfort.
Bought my bike in December 2024.
It's the step trough lightweight, Slate Blue size small.
It's just what I wanted, loveky colour, lightweight and comfortable, and has been much admired.
I Bought the basket, would have liked a small wicker one, also bought the Carry Handle in dark brown, which is very handy, the kickstand, bottle and Mudguards.
Delivery and packaging were excellent.
Thank You.

My bike is Shea heaven to ride. I am only 5 foot and it is so light that I can lift it above my head. I recently rode it all around Holland with panniers packed for a week and it’s still felt easy. The difference between this bike and others is like taking off a pair of high heeled shoes and putting on slippers. It looks beautiful too. All the design features are absolutely top class and it rides perfectly. I thoroughly recommend.
I love my dreamy Luna Sand bike, so soft & quiet as I step out for a ride after work - but rearing to go when a little energy returns as I hit the road. This is a dream of a bike, responsive and quick to respond.
I plucked up courage to pop over to Temple on a rare day off after being hit by some bad news, luckily I was able to test ride a bike despite not having a booking, and then it had to be a Temple bike.

Hi Su,
That's great news! Thanks for coming by in store, it's always a pleasure to have our great customers in store.
Many thanks,
Izzy
I bought this bike as a Christmas gift for my wife. I am a keen cyclist myself and own a couple of high-end bikes, however, I enjoy sneakily borrowing my wife's Step-Through! This bike is incredibly fun to ride, it always puts a smile on my face.
The difference between the step-through and the classic lightweight, apart from the top tube, is that on the former you sit more upright, and it comes with super comfortable ergonomic bars and grips.
There are enough gears to climb the steepest of hills or cruise at 25 kph on flats. We added mudguards, a basket and a kickstand to the order. The added weight doesn't make the bike much slower, rather more utilitarian and versatile.
Store owner replied:
Hi Eugene, I'm so glad you're both loving the bike, we really appreciate the kind feedback.

I had an awful experience. I was at the point of putting the bike and accessories back in the box and returning it if my local bike shop had not said that it was a good bike once they managed to set it up. Non locals who have their bike shipped get a lesser service than locals. There are several learning points that you need to take on board:
1. the bike is not out of the box ready
2. provide the tools necessary to put it together - cost to you about £5 tops and good customer service. My bed came with 2 spanners to put it up- even ikea provides an allen key!
3. If someone is ordering for delivery then accessories should be fitted as they would if i picked the bike up from your shop. I had to take the mudguards off to fit the rack and the brakes off to fit the basket. The stand required an unusual spanner which I didn't have in my bike kit.
4. the stand provided was not suitable for the bike. It trapped the gear cable and was too long. 2 emails with pictures and a call before they believed me. I then had to take the bike to a shop for it to be ground to fit.
5. No instructions on how to fit the stand. I ended up looking at photos on your website and then was told that was an old photo
6. You have a great product but you need a network of local bike shops who can receive bikes and get them on the road and offer the first service as you do in Bristol and London. And talk to customers rather than endless emails.
Without a doubt the best bike I've ever owned. It's well made, lightweight and zippy and looks great too! I replaced the saddle and I have the sage green as I got on sale (would have preferred something a bit more jazzy like bright red, yellow or teal). Very happy with it, have used it on cycle paths and roads. It's sensitive to bumps (I live in Bristol) but it really is lovely. I purchased it about three years ago and really appreciated the care the Temple Cycles team took in assembling and fitting the bike. I've only had to tweak small bits, which are related to making the saddle more comfortable for me. Well worth the investment in my opinion.
I have had an elegant and beautifully made Raleigh bicycle for over 40 years. It was beginning to show its age but I had been unable to find anything as light, as elegant or as well made - and then I tried the Temple step-through city bike.
It too is light, elegant and well made. It is a joy to ride and the 9 gears mean I can now get up all the hills around Bristol with ease. I am confident it will keep off an electric bike for years to come. Thank you Temple!
My partner is very pleased with the bike and so am I as I have to lift it onto the camper so appreciate the light weight. It also looks very nice and is comfortable. The only comment would be that the metal brake levers and end of handlebars could do with protective ends as it looks like they will get scuffed (ie when leaning against a wall) which would be a shame on such a great bike.
Absolutely adore my bike! I'm so glad I bought it - it looks stylish, it's light and so so comfortable to ride! The London store member of staff was great and very friendly. I visited just to check out the bike and I ended up purchasing it there and then. Glad I did this rather then just purchase online, as I ended up going for the Large frame rather than Medium after some test rides. I added a pannier and a rasket making the bike even more practical, whilst still maintaining its classy look and feel. Totally recommend this bike!
Lovely bike to ride. Only nuisance is the horizontal dropout. I bought a burley trailer and had to send it back as too dangerous and can’t attach. Maybe this could be addressed in future bikes. Still, a lovely ride. Very happy with it.
Beautiful bike, I’ve had quite a few comments of how nice it looks, the pedals were a bit stiff so husband had to oil them, the mud guards needed adjusting because they rubbed the tyres, other than that I am really happy, the only negative thing I would say is the communication!! It would be nice to have a phone number to ring and not have to wait for a ring back, on one occasion I asked for a ring back which never came then had a email asking how my nonexistent ring back was !!
I love the light weight and simplicity of my new bike. It reminds me of my first bike when I was nine, plus gears! I will use it to ride around locally and do not need all the bells and whistles that add weight and complexity. I look forward to some Spring weather to enjoy it.
Feels like being a kid riding a bike again. Complete joy. Light and nimble, fun upright riding position, perfect gearing, stylish. Everything I hoped it would be. If I had a quibble, *maybe* the gear levers feel a little weedy. It's not a buggy, just love riding this bike.
Strong brand strong bike! I love the balance of simplicity and beauty with Temple. They look great and work very well- such a smooth stable ride. Very happy customer
What I wanted was an oma-fiet but super light weight. And that's pretty much what this bike is. It's an absolute pleasure to ride. I use it for commuting but I've started adding little extra journeys because it is so comfortable and fun to ride.
It's absolutely lived up to my high expectations
An absolutely beautiful and classic bike, lovely riding experience with a good speed and manoeuvrability. A quality frame, feels sturdy when cycling but lightweight enough to pick up and carry through any train station or stairs.
I will say that as the bike is a solid frame with no suspension, beware if you live or cycle somewhere with plenty of potholes or cobbles as you will feel bones rattling. Same goes for curbs, if you go over or go down any bump it will rattle the bike.
But overall it is a wonderful purchase I hope to treasure for the rest of my life.
It's like riding on air! So light and the mechanisms are so smooth and very comfortable. I bought the Stepthrough in lichen green, my partner bought the Classic in slate blue and together they look gorgeous! We got a few compliments when we took it for a test ride to Greenwich this weekend.
I am very happy with my Temple, the bike is beautiful and ride smoothly, it is very light but sturdy. Just feel very comfortable and safe riding it. It took me a while to decide to buy it but I am glad I did it. I highly recommend Temple cycles.

Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for the kind review, happy riding.

Love my bike!
This bicycle is super lightweight and an absolute pleasure to ride. I chose a sunny yellow frame which makes me smile on my commute. I had the quill stem changed at my 6-week service for a longer version which has made the riding position more upright and its now a dream.
Lichen Green Lightweight Step Through
Love my new bike. Elegant, beautiful colour. Easy to ride, and was easy to do the final assembly. Very comfortable. Also, it’s light enough for me to carry up stairs which was important as there are a lot of stairs nearby. It also arrived in less than two weeks, so that was impressive.
I am 5’2” and the small frame is perfect for me.
I loved my Temple so much I bought one for my wife.
I bought my Temple as an incentive to try the Dunwich Dynamo, 112 m overnight.
I succeeded and loved the bike so much I bought my wife the step through.
She loves hers.
Step through lightweight
Excellent. Our second Temple bike - very pleased with both. The step through for my wife is practical but lightweight and speedy. She loves it
