I love my Classic Lightweight Temple bike. I use it primarily for commuting, and it's the perfect bike for London. It's quick, comfortable and stunning. I'm glad I switched from my old road bike.
Mudguards are nice, had to do more "fettling" than usual. The rear stays were 15mm too short for my 1973 Falcon, I bought some 4mm Aluminium and shaped it to fit for now. I also added a reflector and RAW mudflaps. N.B. these seem nearer 35mm than 40mm wide.
Looks and performs well on my vintage bike, needs some fine tuning as rear guard doesn’t align properly with the guard screw hole between the chain stays ( the guard is too wide / the stays are too narrow depending how one looks at it) no big deal I will engineer a solution. They look great and
More importantly work keeping me and the machine clean
I didn't hear about Temple from a friend actually but you didn't give an option for where I did hear about you - in an old-fashioned bit of media.... a cycle mag :)
The people in the London shop were very friendly & helpful. The bike arrived at approximately the date they predicted.
However, the man who assembled it for me at home said that the screws provided for attaching the rack were too short and he is going to get some of his own to do the job.
Riding the bicycle is very enjoyable although I have not fully tested it yet due to the cold weather.
Outstanding service from clicking on the buy button to taking delivery. Quality of the bike is fabulous, the step through classic is a beauty.
Extremely happy with the purchase and customer service experience.
Many thanks, Temple.
This is the second mudguard set I bought from Temple. The first were damaged in an accident only a month after purchasing so Temple kindly offered to replace at half price.
Very smart mudguards suitable for an old Raleigh Richmond with thin tyres. Slightly disappointing service in that I received no notification that they were out of stock in Bristol. No response to emails (they had taken my money) and it was only when I dropped into the Brick Lane shop (Closed Mondays & Tuesdays) that I got to the bottom of the problem. Many in stock in Brick Lane, but had to return for missing fittings not provided in the pack. Refund of original payment and new payment less carriage which was appreciated, but it all had to be done in person. I wouldn't really trust the online service, not very responsive.
Great mudguards, they look sturdy and made with quality material. Easy to install ant to adjust they distance from the wheel thanks to the provided bolts
Not sure
Maybe something came a little bent from the shipping, but the back mudguard scrapes the wheel and I need to readjust it every once in a while to prevent that from happening

Thanks for the review. If you need any advice on the mudguards feel free to send some pictures over to hello@templecycles.com and we'd be happy to help.

Streamline and sleek
After a bit of tweaking here and there to get them fitted these are perfect. My wife has them on her Temple and they're quite simply an essential addition to the bike.
Ruddy good mudguards
I rarely leave reviews, I don’t leave reviews immediately after buying a product and I’ve bought enough SKS mudguards to fill a garage. So, I’ve had these mudguards well over a year and they are brilliant. Cheaper and easier to fit than the Dia Compe equivalent (which I’ve also bought), better coverage than the SKS equivalent and with greater tyre clearance than either. I reclaim you could stuff a 32mm under these with no issues. My only criticism is that they’re a little short, but some third party mudflaps have sorted that. With a 28mm tyre, there is plenty of mud clearance if you do the unspeakable and ride your road bike along flinty, muddy farm tracks, like I do. They don’t rattle, they stay put and they look great. Buy them now, even if you don’t need them. Because one day you will and if you don’t you’ll wish you had.
Replacement mudguards
Unfortunately I damaged my rear alloy mudguard whilst out on a ride. I ordered a replacement set and they were with me by 48 hour (free) delivery. They were very well packed. I guess I could have got mudguards from elsewhere but they wouldn’t have been half as nice or well made!
Beautiful mudguards
Temple provide superb and friendly service for their wonderful bikes. The Temple Alloy Mudguards are light and lovely to look at, easy to put on too. Very pleased.
Great mudguards, highly recommended
After using plastic mudguards on my last bike, these alloys are like night and day. Much more stylish and better looking, higher quality, sturdy and still very lightweight.
Would highly recommend for anybody looking to bling up their trusty steed without getting mud up their butt.
