BIKES SHOULD BECOME VINTAGE

The mainstream bicycle industry is geared around a throwaway, upgrade culture. At Temple Cycles we go against the grain, designing and building bikes in our Bristol workshop that will last a lifetime. We do this by adopting exceptional build quality, premium materials and thorough product development. How do we do this?

The heart and soul of the bike: The frameset (frame and forks), is covered under our 5 year warranty.

The frameset is warrantied against any defects in material or workmanship which result in the bike not being able to function as intended for the duration of the original owners lifetime. We will either repair any defective frameset, or replace any defective frameset with the same or most comparable model available.

All electrical components (this includes motor, battery, display, controller, sensors and wiring) are covered under an industry standard 2 year warranty.

Temple components come with a 3 year warranty. Shimano drivetrain components come with a 1 year warranty as do all accessories and paint finishes. We will either repair or replace any defective component with the same or most comparable component available.

It's important to note what will void the warranty as there are many things which will affect the performance of our products which are out of the control of Temple Cycles. All warranties will be void if the bike is subjected to neglect, improper assembly, improper repair or maintenance, alteration, modification and improper use. The warranty does not cover damage caused by a crash, excessive use, or an accident such as the bike falling over. When any of our products are used for competition or commercial purposes, the warranty is also void.

Bicycles need to be maintained and serviced to make sure they perform correctly. Wheel truing, lubricating, brake adjustment, drivetrain adjustment and other typical maintenance procedures are not covered by the warranty and must be conducted by a professional bicycle workshop at the cost of the customer.

All labour and shipping costs for any warranty service are the responsibility of the customer, while the cost of repair or replacement of a frameset, component or accessory is the responsibility of Temple Cycles.

We hope this leaves you satisfied with the level of support we will provide you here at Temple Cycles.

The short answer is no. The warranty is only valid for the original owner of the bicycle.

The warranty cannot be transferred. The bicycle must also only be used by the original owner for the warranty to be valid

As with all our customer support queries, we're always here to help you via email, in person, or over the phone. If you have a warranty claim, please just get in touch with us.

If you are returning a bike for a warranty claim via post, you will need to use the same box the bike was delivered in. If you require a new box, that's fine, we can send one to you for a small fee. Just get in touch with our customer support team to arrange this.

The best and fastest way to deal with a warranty claim is to return the bike directly to one of our stores.

The next section is a bit wordy, but needed for legal purposes:

Temple Cycles warranties provide the original owner with certain legal rights and recourse and the original owner may possess other rights or recourse, depending on the state, jurisdiction, country, or province. Please be informed that this is a final statement of Temple Cycles and all the remedies available to the original owner are stated herein. Temple Cycles does not allow or authorise any entity to extend any other express or implied warranties on its behalf. An original owner agrees that Temple Cycle's liability under this warranty under no circumstances shall be greater than the original purchase price. In no event shall Temple Cycles be liable for incidental or consequential damages. All other remedies, obligations, liabilities, rights, warranties, express or implied, arising from law or otherwise, including (but not limited to) any claimed implied warranty of merchantability, any claimed implied warranty arising from course of performance, course of dealing or usage of trade, and any claimed implied warranty of fitness, are disclaimed by Temple Cycles and waived by the original owner. Some states, jurisdictions, countries, and provinces do not allow some or all of the limitations set forth herein, or the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages. If any provision is found unenforceable, only that provision shall be stricken and all others shall apply.
